When to Replace Your Whole House Filters
Replace sediment filters every 3 to 6 months and carbon filters every 6 to 12 months. Homes on city water with standard treatment can lean toward the longer intervals, while well water systems or areas with heavy metals, manganese, or high sediment will need more frequent water filter replacement.
