The 3MKOPRE is a dual-stage filter that combines sediment filtration with carbon treatment in a single cartridge. In a 4-vessel system, it serves as the number 2 filter. In a 3-vessel system supplied by municipal water, it serves as the number 1 filter, since carbon pre-treatment is the priority for chlorinated city water. The filter reduces chlorine, sediment, and other impurities, which protects the RO membrane and also improves the taste and odor of your water before it reaches the purification stage.
