Description

Reverse osmosis membranes are highly effective at removing dissolved contaminants, but membrane filtration alone is not designed to address taste and odor the way a dedicated carbon stage can. Without a final polishing filter, water can reach your faucet still carrying mild taste or odor characteristics that earlier stages were not built to target.

The 3MKOPST serves as the number 3 or number 4 filter, depending on your system configuration, and is used in both 3-vessel and 4-vessel 3M systems. It removes residual chlorine, organic compounds, and any remaining impurities immediately before water reaches the faucet, acting as the last quality checkpoint in the filtration process. It is compatible with the 3MROP416 filter, formerly known as part number 3MROP414.

Specifications:

  • Filter life: Up to 12 months

  • Application: Post-carbon filtration, final stage

  • Reduces: Chlorine, taste, and odor

  • System fit: 3M multi-vessel RO systems

  • Function: Polishes water before dispensing

Compatible with:

  • 3M 3-vessel RO systems

  • 3M 4-vessel RO systems

  • Systems using the 3MROP416 filter (formerly 3MROP414)

Features

  • As the final stage before the faucet, the 3MKOPST is the last opportunity in the filtration sequence to address taste and odor that membrane filtration alone does not target.

  • Used in both 3-vessel and 4-vessel system configurations, it is one of the few filters in the lineup that applies across both setups regardless of water source.

  • Removing residual chlorine and organic compounds at this stage addresses issues that earlier filtration steps are not designed to catch.

  • The updated 3MROP416 part number supersedes the older 3MROP414 designation, so older reference materials may still list the previous number for the same compatible filter.
